WARNINGS:

Make sure to check your skin for any rashes or signs of sunburn or recent sun exposure, as well as any history of Accutane use, retinol use, laser treatments, or microdermabrasion procedures before applying wax to the area. It's important to avoid waxing on sensitive or compromised skin to prevent further irritation or damage. Visit our web for further instructions.

Looking for gorgeously smooth results from your at-home waxing sessions? Avoid these five common waxing pitfalls:

  1. Waxing hair that is too short. Your hair needs to be at least 1/4 inch long (the size of a grain of rice) to wax effectively. Patience pays off when it comes to waxing!
  2. Using wax that is too cold. The wax should be warm enough to effectively shrink-wrap hairs but not so hot that it's runny and hard to work with. Test the temperature on the inside of your wrist first and find the right consistency and temperature for your wax.
  3. Not paying attention to the pattern of your hair growth. Sometimes hair grows in multiple directions, so it's important to apply the wax in the direction of hair growth and remove it in the opposite direction. If hair remains after 2-3 passes, use tweezers to clean up.
  4. Not using a firm hand. Use a 45-degree angle with the spatula and apply enough pressure to effectively remove the hair.
  5. Having unrealistic expectations. Waxing takes practice, so start with larger body areas like arms or legs before moving on to more sensitive areas. Remember to use pre-wax oil to ensure clean and dry skin.

With these tips, you'll be able to achieve silky smooth skin that lasts for weeks from the comfort of your own home.

How to use

Microwave the wax for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally until it has a soft, honey-like consistency. Test the temperature on your wrist. Clean and dry your skin, then apply wax in the direction of hair growth. Flick up a tab and remove the wax in the opposite direction of hair growth. Apply pressure and aloe gel to soothe the skin.
